Discounts South Africans can expect
Although it’s been a tough financial year for most South African citizens, some have managed to save or invest their monies still. The famous black friday week was a concept which came to South Africa in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
Black Friday week has arrived in South Africa, with a host of retailers launching early deals in the lead-up to the big sale this Friday, 25 November 2022.
A few large retailers have been running Black Friday sales this month, promising customers even bigger things to come on Black Friday, and other retailers are looking forward to get ahead of the game by running specials which will last for a week by starting last weekend.
A few deals will be officially kicking off in the middle of the week on the 23rd of November, including those from Absa, Makro and Superbalist – but others are starting from Monday the 21st of November, like Bidorbuy, Builder’s, Mr Price and OneDayOnly.
Nevertheless, regardless of the sales leading up to the day, Black Friday itself is where it is at, with innumerable retailers promising sales on the day.
Many employees reportedly take day offs or sick leave just to buy what they need on Black Friday and that is why most shops extend their offers to Sunday to ensure that all their customers get a fair chance to buy what they need especially for those who get paid on the 25th day of each month.
Many of these specials will be running all week and all weekend, carrying on with Cyber Monday on the 28 November until the last day of the month.
It is quite evident that stores which sell products have been receiving enough stock lately, therefore potential customers should avoid purchasing in the mornings to avoid buying in an uncontrollable crowd… “There is something for everyone”, I say.Do not risk your life for a single item.
