In the first year as a psychology student I completed a module named Political Science and I learnt that there are three ideologies namely individualism, collectivism and socialism which are categorised as political and social ideologies.

The only ideology we will be focusing on in this article is Individualism which is simply defined as the moral stance, political philosophy, ideology and social outlook that emphasizes the intrinsic/internal worth of any individual.

Individualism briefly explains that individuals are unique in terms of having different capabilities compared to others, independent,self-reliant,and they know themselves really well, therefore they are capable of making decisions on their own which are morally accepted which will change their lives in a positive or negative way.

Individuals are always encouraged to speak to someone whom they trust when they encounter certain obstacles in life or when they need specific advice, although they are capable of making the final decision in their lives.

By going back to the drawing board of the mentioned ideology individuals should learn more about themselves and brainstorm in relation to the suitable strategies they might use to solve certain obstacles they encounter in life.

It is very crucial for individuals to take advice from others, but they are encouraged to not consider some of the advice some people give them to avoid blaming them at the end of the day.

Individuals should learn to listen attentively when they are given advice incase they might pick up a strategy from others which they can use in the future.

All in all, individuals should support one another and give out advice daily to those who might need it,although there is no guarantee that their words of wisdom will be considered.
